Summary of Services:
Known as an aggressive problem solver with a passion for community development, Kay has served as Executive Director for nonprofits as diverse as the Hawaii Women’s Business Center, Hawaii Women Lawyers, CCIM and AICP. Her project work for MADD and ITS have involved national assignments, and her work with the Hawaii Women’s Legal Foundation helped to raise hundreds of thousands of dollars for women’s and children’s charities in Hawaii. Kay is also a Certified TGCI grant writer.
In addition to the Professional Women’s Network, Kay is active in the Organization of Women Leaders, National Board of Nonprofit Executives, and the Hawaii Society of Corporate Planners. She has served on the Board of Directors of the Missing Child Center of Hawaii and the American Society of Association Executives, and remains an involved member of the Small Business Committee of the Chamber of Commerce of Honolulu.
Kay previously sat on the Mayor’s Advisory Committee for Economic Development and is currently her congregation’s liaison for Family Promise, a national interfaith program committed to helping low-income families transition from homelessness through community initiatives. Kay comes from an entrepreneurial family and, prior to moving to Hawaii, was President and CEO of Major League Productions, a national film production company.
Always fearless and sometimes fairly funny, Kay’s current goal is to get from Monday to Tuesday with her sense of humor still intact.
