ABOUT THE PROFESSIONAL WOMEN’S NETWORK

We support professional and businesswomen in Hawaii, acting on the premise that mutual support is a necessary factor in bringing about personal growth and business success. The Network’s objectives are to promote the exchange of professional ideas and provide an opportunity to share experiences to help women expand their business position in the Hawaii marketplace.

Longest Member

The Professional Women’s Network dedicated its June 24, 2010 luncheon day to longtime Network member, Susan Aiu. Susan Aiu saw a lot of changes in Hawaii and in the Professional Women’s Network and experienced the many ups and downs that go with 80 years of life. (Susan celebrated her 80th birthday in September 2010). She lived in Hawaii for 50 years and has been a loyal member of the Professional Women’s Network for some 31 years. As far as anyone can recall, she only missed two luncheons and one of those was because her car broke down. She holds the honor of being the oldest and longest continuing member. Susan, a professional astrologer, hasn’t been shy about telling us what to do and where to go. She often can tell what sign you were born under the first time she meets you. Possibly you had a mini-astrological reading done by Susan at our Spa Days; or maybe you had her do a complete astrological chart for you. She has also entertained us at events with her beautiful hula. On July 7, 2010, Susan left her beloved Hawaii to live closer to her daughter, grandchildren, and great grandchild. She remains in touch from her new home near Seattle and continues to do astrological readings. Susan was made a Member Emeritus in 2011.
